FDY and DTY are actually spinning processing methods, and do not refer to a specific material, mainly used in the production of polyester and other fabrics.
FDY is the abbreviation of Fully drawn yarn, the Chinese name is: fully drawn yarn, is a processing method after spinning. DTY is the abbreviation of Drawn-texturing yarn, and the Chinese name is: drawn deformed yarn. The difference with FDY is that there is a false twist process.
The so-called false twist is in the post-processing, the silk is twisted in a certain direction, and the silk is still straight. But when relaxed, it shrinks and fluffs up. FDY, in its relaxed state, does not contract.
